Purpose
The Bartender is familiar with a wide variety of drink recipes and can deliver excellent customer services. Responsible for maintaining a culture of food and drink exploration, innovation and dedication for customers and employees.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create a culture of food exploration, innovation and education for guests and employees.
- Deliver a consistently high level customer service to each customer and maintain a safe environment by identifying any issues.
- Keep the bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally.
- Mix all drinks based on the servings sizes as outlined in the company manual to keep drink costs at a minimum.
- Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar satisfied at all times.
- Uphold set standard and enforce food and drink preparations and handling ensuring compliance with company food safety policy.
General Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain state Food Handler’s Permit.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Bartender.
- Maintain a current Bartender License.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Interact with customers in a professional manner.
- Greeting customers with finesse and charm.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Word Perfect and Excel is preferred.
- Willing to be educated further about wines and beers.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions, and ability to read, retain and comprehend.
- Ability to use basic math skills.
- Self-motivated professional with a drive to increase knowledge of Albertsons products.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, accurate and have good time management skills.
- Ability to multitask while working under stress and time constraints.
- Reports to work in proper uniform per company policy.
