Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and remove barricades, cones, drums, signs, arrow boards, and other traffic control devices
• Set up and maintain work zones in accordance with traffic control plans, company procedures, and applicable regulations
• Conduct routine inspections of traffic control devices and make adjustments or replacements as needed
• Load, unload, transport, and organize traffic control equipment and materials
• Assist with lane closures, detours, and other temporary traffic control operations
• Work safely around moving traffic, construction equipment, and other jobsite hazards
• Communicate with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and other personnel regarding work zone activities
• Maintain assigned equipment, vehicles, and tools in a clean and safe condition
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Complete required paperwork, inspections, and other documentation
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous traffic control, construction, roadway, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on assignment
• Must be able to successfully complete any required company training

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and work for extended periods
• Ability to regularly lift and carry traffic control equipment and materials, including items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work safely in and around active roadways, construction zones, and moving vehicles
• Work may require early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and varying schedules based on project needs
