Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and remove barricades, cones, drums, signs, arrow boards, and other traffic control devices
- Set up and maintain work zones in accordance with traffic control plans, company procedures, and applicable regulations
- Conduct routine inspections of traffic control devices and make adjustments or replacements as needed
- Load, unload, transport, and organize traffic control equipment and materials
- Assist with lane closures, detours, and other temporary traffic control operations
- Work safely around moving traffic, construction equipment, and other jobsite hazards
- Communicate with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and other personnel regarding work zone activities
- Maintain assigned equipment, vehicles, and tools in a clean and safe condition
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Complete required paperwork, inspections, and other documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous traffic control, construction, roadway, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on assignment
- Must be able to successfully complete any required company training
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and work for extended periods
- Ability to regularly lift and carry traffic control equipment and materials, including items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work safely in and around active roadways, construction zones, and moving vehicles
- Work may require early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and varying schedules based on project needs

Safety is an essential function of this position. Employees must consistently follow all company safety policies, traffic control procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements. This position may be subject to pre-employment screening and ongoing requirements applicable to safety-sensitive work.
