About the Role
The Group Fitness Instructor provides cutting-edge group fitness instruction through a variety of entertaining, educational, and fun classes promoting fitness and positive self-esteem in a safe environment. They act as a fitness resource for class participants and maintain positive relationships with members to encourage continued class attendance. The instructor is responsible for consistently meeting daily class attendance goals and effectively promoting Life Time programs, products, and services.

- LIFT: Build Strength: Strength training classes combining music and muscle-building.
- SHRED: Strength Circuits for Lean Muscles: Full-body strength and endurance workouts with timed, consistent routines.
- MAXOUT: High-energy strength and conditioning using heavier weights and supersets to push muscle limits.

CARDIO
- XTREME: High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) for conditioning and personal bests.
- REMIXX: High-energy cardio with a nightclub atmosphere, featuring remixes of popular music.

BOXING/KICKBOXING
- STRIKE: Cardio-focused classes teaching boxing techniques like jab, cross, hook, and uppercut.

- LIFE BARRE: Ballet-inspired classes with high-repetition isometric movements for strength and grace.

- AMP: Immersive cycling experience with choreographed movement synced to music.

Responsibilities
- Develops positive relationships with class participants by teaching a variety of challenging and entertaining classes.
- Educates class participants on correct form and alternative moves during routines.
- Engages with members before and after classes to answer questions and foster connections.
- Cleans and organizes studio space after each class.
- Provides current, motivating music for classes while ensuring appropriate language.
- Promotes Life Time programs, products, and services, encouraging participation in Classes at Life Time.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 or more years of fitness instructor work experience.
- CPR/AED Certification.
- Minimum of one Group Exercise Certification: NASM, ACE, AFAA, or AEA.
- Ability to perform aerobic activities for the duration of a class, including standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, and kneeling.
- Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds.
- Ability to perform exercises specific to the assigned class format.
