Barista Trainer

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Model professionalism, teamwork, and leadership while supporting daily operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Trained, coached, and mentored new baristas on Starbucks beverage recipes, operational procedures, and company standards.
• Aid store leadership with onboarding new partners and evaluating training effectiveness to support successful integration.
• Demonstrate proper preparation techniques for handcrafted coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and food items to ensure consistency and quality.
• Ensure compliance with Starbucks policies, food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs.
• Prepare and serve food items in line with location standards.
• Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits.
• Adhere to Aramark's cash handling policies and procedures.
• Set up and breakdown coffee bar, stations or store including cleaning and sanitizing.
• Assist with inventory management, stocking, opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Previous experience as a barista preferred.
• Basic math & counting skills required.
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must follow required dress code as assigned.
• Able to read and communicate in English and able to follow recipes.
• Complete Food Handling Certification as required.
