Barista - Temporary

About the role

Location: Wayne, NJ. Classification: Temporary. As a Barista you welcome customers cheerfully, help them find the right beverages and café items, maintain the café’s presentation and efficiency, unpack and stock deliveries, tidy the bake case and dining area, operate registers quickly and friendly, and support the wider store team. You will master operational competencies, develop merchandising and food‑service skills, and enjoy being a barista while advancing toward a Senior Barista role.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers in a cheerful and helpful way by saying hello, answering questions and connecting readers with the right beverages and café items.
• Maintain the attractive presentation and ensure efficient running of the Café.
• Unpack and stock deliveries; tidy the bake case and dining area.
• Operate registers quickly and friendly to provide professional service.
• Use varied technology including registers, computers, tablets, programs and other tools comfortably and efficiently.
• Develop strong merchandising skills to maintain café presentation and cleanliness.
• Develop effective visual merchandising skills to maintain counter and floor retail fixtures.
• Run a register competently to serve customers quickly and reliably.
• Support receiving and unpacking of deliveries and ensure efficient, accurate stocking.
