Job Duties
- Greet guests and take Food & Beverage orders while communicating with other team members within the employee’s scheduled location*
- Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team and customers*
- Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues*
- Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer-comes-first attitude and connecting with the customer, ensuring adherence to all Starbucks brand standards*
- Ring in and properly tender orders into a register*
- Clean, sanitize, and sweep/mop work areas to include food prep areas, other food contact surfaces, patio/condiment areas, and floors/walkways*
- Store and rotate stock and food items within assigned work locations*
- Perform opening and closing procedures related to the assigned Food & Beverage location as directed by shift supervisors*
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older on the date of applying
Post-employment
- Must be able to complete and pass Barista certification within 30 days of hire
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts and Starbucks guidelines
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times
- Must be friendly, upbeat, work well with other employees, and be able to interact with guests
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and/or working under high-stress situations
Job Demands
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with shifts starting as early as 7:00 AM and ending as late as 1:00 AM, in accordance with Child Labor Laws
- Must be able to work at least 4 shifts a week, Memorial Day through Labor Day, and one shift per week in the off-season
- Must be able to work at least three (3) closing shifts per week
- Must be comfortable with exposure to cleaning chemicals
Physical requirements
- Ability to stand for up to five hours at a time
- Walk
- Bend at the waist and knees
- Repeated manual dexterity
- Ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level
- Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds without assistance
Work Environment
- Almost exclusively outdoors
- Subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather
- Employee must provide proper footwear (all black, non-skid/nonslip sneaker)
Training
- Must complete proper Starbucks training material prior to working their first shift
