Barista/Retail Sales for Belted Goat Eatery - Full Time

Fearrington Village is an English-inspired property nestled in the idyllic countryside of North Carolina. Our southern hospitality is part of everything we do as we aim to make each of our guests feel welcome. Located 15 minutes from Chapel Hill, our property is one of the original Relais & Chateaux destinations in North America since 1980, complete with an award-winning fine-dining restaurant, luxury 32-room inn, spa, boutique shops, a beer and pizza garden, events spaces, and one of the state’s last remaining independent bookstores.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer care while consistently preparing coffee and tea beverages to the highest standard, at high volume.
• Maintain daily operations including cleaning, stocking, and organizing.
• Run the register and take orders.
• Continually build upon skills and knowledge.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

Requirements

• Food and beverage experience, preferably barista experience.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive, vibrant attitude with a smile.
• Ability to work independently and self‑motivated, yet also team‑oriented.
• Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Punctual.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manuals.
• Ability to prioritize work tasks, multi‑task, and maintain focus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Physical demands: frequently required – walking, standing, bending, reaching, scooping.
• Physical demands: occasionally required – kneeling, squatting, lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Schedule

• Shift options: 9 am to 5 pm or 10 am to 6 pm.
