About the Role
We are searching for an engaging, courteous Barista to join our team. In this role, you will greet customers, answer questions, take orders, accept payments, and prepare and serve food and drinks. You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentations.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, inform them about specials or new items, answer questions, and accept orders and payments
- Prepare foods, such as sandwiches or baked goods, grind and blend coffee beans, brew coffee and tea, and serve items to customers
- Sell coffee and tea blends and brewing equipment, highlight differences between items, and educate customers about brewing methods
- Clean and restock work and dining areas, empty trash, and sanitize equipment and utensils
- Learn about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality
- Take inventory and replenish items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter
- Work as part of a fun, high-energy team
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls
Requirements
- Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service
- Barista experience preferred
- Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
