About the role

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service while making hand-crafted, quality beverages.
• Take orders and prepare coffee, tea, and other drinks to customer specifications.
• Operate cash register and credit card machines.
• Address customer concerns or questions to maintain good relations and speedy service.
• Greet visitors and guests, and prepare their coffee or food menu selections.
• Ensure order accuracy, customer service, and timeliness of service.
• Clean assigned work areas, including sweeping, mopping floors, and cleaning refrigerators.
• Restock food and non-food supplies in work areas.
• Remove garbage and boxes from the department per policy and procedure.
• Record temperatures of food, freezers, and refrigerators daily.
• Work in the dish room and clean necessary items daily.
• Sweep and mop floors in serving and dining areas.
• May be cross-trained for other positions within the department.
• Exhibit excellent customer service skills in all interactions with patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, and supervisory staff.
• Recognize signs and symptoms of stroke and call a stroke alert overhead; complete annual 1-hour online stroke training.

Requirements

• 1 year of hospital food service experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.
