About the role

Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service while making hand-crafted, quality beverages.
- Take orders and prepare coffee, tea, and other drinks to customer specifications.
- Operate cash register and credit card machines.
- Address customer concerns or questions to maintain good relations and speedy service.
- Greet visitors and guests, and prepare their coffee or food menu selections.
- Ensure order accuracy, customer service, and timeliness of service.
- Clean assigned work areas, including sweeping, mopping floors, and cleaning refrigerators.
- Restock food and non-food supplies in work areas.
- Remove garbage and boxes from the department per policy and procedure.
- Record temperatures of food, freezers, and refrigerators daily.
- Work in the dish room and clean necessary items daily.
- Sweep and mop floors in serving and dining areas.
- May be cross-trained for other positions within the department.
- Exhibit excellent customer service skills in all interactions with patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, and supervisory staff.
- Recognize signs and symptoms of stroke and call a stroke alert overhead; complete annual 1-hour online stroke training.
Requirements
- 1 year of hospital food service experience preferred.
- ServSafe certification is a plus.
