Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other café items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Accurately take guest orders and process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions.
- Deliver exceptional guest service by engaging with guests in a friendly, professional, and personalized manner.
- Anticipate guest needs and maintain a welcoming, luxury-level café experience throughout the shift.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor during busy periods while ensuring efficiency and service consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout the café, service areas, equipment, and seating areas.
- Restock food, beverage, paper products, and café supplies throughout the shift as needed.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and operational procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, specialty beverages, and daily features.
- Assist with opening, closing, side work, and daily operational checklists.
- Support additional food & beverage operations as business levels and operational needs require.
- Communicate operational concerns, guest feedback, or product shortages to leadership promptly.
Qualifications
- Physical requirements: Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds; ability to stand during entire shift; ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements, including reaching, turning, and precision work.
- General Requirements: Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times; must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with fellow associates and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner; must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests; must be able to multitask and prioritize to ensure outstanding service; approach all encounters with guests and associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner; attend all hotel required meetings and trainings; maintain regular attendance in compliance with Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel; maintain high standards of personal appearance, uniform and grooming; maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions; perform other duties as requested by management; must be available to work some weekends.
