About the Role
Baristas make coffee, tea, other drinks, and food items to customer specifications while maintaining good customer relations and speedy delivery of all beverages. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This role requires providing innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.
The core responsibilities include:
- Focusing on ways to promote and engage in internal growth programs
- Continuously exemplifying and living by our company culture
- Meeting or exceeding company goals and three key metrics
- Completing all required training
- Adhering to all standard operating procedures and property-specific brand standards
- Performing any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests
- Providing personalized, friendly service to each and every guest
- Making coffee, tea, and other drinks to customer specifications
- Operating cash registers and other coffee shop equipment
- Cleaning coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas during a normal shift
Requirements
- Keep confidential the business functions of the company including financial status, customer/guest information, and associate issues
- Responsibility for safety and security of guests, fellow associates, and hotel assets
- Knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
- Able to report to all scheduled shifts
- Effective communication skills in writing, verbally, and in person
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Organized, honest, and works well with others
- Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and personal appearance
- Highest degree of integrity and humility, living by the Golden Rule
- Ability to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds

- Physical ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, stretch, and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to perform work for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment
- Eyesight enabling both near and far vision
- Ability to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
- Ability to handle heat and stress
- Finger dexterity for operating equipment
- Clear, understandable voice; basic hearing ability; and understanding of English

Schedule
This is a full or part-time position with rotating shifts. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required as we are a 24/7 business.
