Job Summary

A local experience with a global perspective, Clayton seeks a knowledgeable and passionate coffee maker who loves to share their expertise with others. This role involves greeting customers, providing drink menus, taking orders, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining a clean and tidy bar area.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly adhering to service standards
• Provide guests with drink menus and answer questions regarding ingredients and substitutions
• Take orders while paying attention to details such as dairy, sugar preferences, etc.
• Prepare and serve beverages following recipes in addition to any pastry offerings
• Receive and process payments (cash, credit, room charge)
• Maintain a clean bar area
• Ensure that the coffee shop area is tidy and presentable
• Adhere to all safety and cleanliness guidelines
• Adhere to Makeready’s Guiding Principles
• Perform additional duties and assignments as assigned

Qualifications

• Prior experience making coffee, tea, etc. drinks highly preferred
• Professional, approachable, and courteous personality
• Organized
• Able to handle multiple guest orders and requests simultaneously
• Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to serve and clear food, beverages, plates/cutlery/glassware, additional objects, bend, kneel to clear tables, serve food, etc., and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Able to adhere to Makeready & property policies and procedures as defined
