About the role

The Part-Time Barista will provide exceptional hospitality, quality beverages and products while maintaining a welcoming and comfortable environment. The successful candidate should be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea and drink preparation and go the extra mile to make their customer’s day with a perfect cup of coffee or beverage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve consistently outstanding beverages by adhering to recipe standards.
• Proactively engage with customers to deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized space for guests and coworkers in all areas of the coffee bar.
• Aid with setup, cleanup, inventory and stock work.
• Contribute creative ideas for new menu items, drink art, unique beverage presentations, and seasonal specialty offerings.
• Participate in local product sourcing and collaborate with the team to enhance our coffee bar’s offerings.
• Always adhere to proper safety guidelines.
• Assist with a variety of duties and tasks as directed.

Requirements

• The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Prior barista or bartending experience preferred.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working a flexible schedule when needed.
• 1+ year experience in food service/hospitality is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and healthy respect for cleanliness.
• Reliable and consistent.
• Professional behavior and appearance at all times.
• To walk, stand and sit for periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and/or move objects up to 30 pounds.
• To maintain professionalism while creating a welcoming environment for the artist, guests, family, crew, etc.
