Location: Kith Women's Cafe
Status: Full Time or Part Time
Compensation: $18.00-$20.00/hr + Tip(s)
Position Summary: The F&B Barista is an essential partner in the guest's dining experience. The Barista will continuously partner with all MOD and management teams, to ensure a seamless experience for all our guests. The Barista will not only become an expert on all in-house beverage options, but they will also familiarize themselves with all menu items, to address any guest inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Maintain coffee station cleanliness, organization, and inventory levels.
- Uphold quality control standards and ensure proper recipe execution across the coffee program.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and equipment logs and communicate repair or support needs to the MOD and management team.
- Receive coffee inventory, and FIFO rotation of coffee products.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all coffee products and confidently educate guests and sell branded coffee from behind the counter.
- Regularly conduct deep cleaning and proper maintenance of all coffee equipment.
- Operate the POS with positive energy and maintain knowledge of the full bar menu.
- Complete prep work and other operational tasks as directed by the MOD and management team.
- Support the team by cleaning and stocking other stations and customer-facing areas as needed.
- Assist with dishes, sampling, and other F&B needs.
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, operational, and company standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive, efficient team environment.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by MOD and management.
- Participate and assist in Physical Inventories as required by the business.
- Assist the Merchandising team during visual initiatives as required by the business.
Requirements
- Availability: Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays. Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business' needs require.
- Licenses/Certificates: Valid and current Food Handlers License from the Department of Health or ServSafe Food Handlers Certificate is required.
- Experience: 1+ years in the Food & Beverage industry as a Barista on a manual machine; 1+ years in a high-volume customer-facing role; 1+ years processing cash and card transactions through a POS system.
- Skills/Abilities: Ability to multi-task; efficient communication; ability to lift and move 30lbs; ability to perform standard tasks related to retail operations including but not limited to bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools; ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
