Team & Department
Baristas make an impact every day by providing outstanding beverage service and supporting the overall front-of-house operations. Internally, this role is part of the Guest Experience Team and reports to the Guest Experience Manager and General Manager of each restaurant.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare all beverages to company standards, including coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, tonics, smoothies, and wellness drinks.
- Dial espresso grinders daily and continually monitor espresso quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee and smoothie bar throughout service.
- Set up and close down barista and smoothie stations at the start and end of each shift.
- Ensure accurate order entry through the POS system for efficient communication between the bar and kitchen.
- Support a smooth service by assisting team members across front-of-house positions as needed.
- Provide exceptional hospitality and contribute to a welcoming and community-focused atmosphere.
- Participate in training and ongoing learning to maintain product and service excellence.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work effectively and respectfully in a team setting.
- Strong ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Passion for health, wellness, and high-quality food and beverage experiences.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends as business requires.
- Commitment of at least 5 days per week and 30–40 hours per week.
- General understanding of food safety and public health practices.
- Required: Minimum 2 years of barista experience.
- Preferred but not required: Food Handlers Certification.
