About the role

ANTHEM™ is a TAA-licensed umbrella organization for several real estate and creative companies in Waco, TX. Our headquarters and studios are located in the heart of downtown, focused on restoring and rejuvenating our city—one brick, building, tenant, or visitor at a time. This position supports BRÛ Artisan Coffee Works, bringing satisfaction and quality goods to downtown Waco while contributing to our broader mission of development by design.

Peter & Summer Ellis, Baylor alumni and directors of ANTHEM, have led in design and business development professionally since 1999, with approximately 40 years of collective experience. We’re seeking capable, responsible individuals to join our growing, family- and value-based organization—ideal for those who thrive on details and handcrafting in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the best cup of coffee with enthusiasm to each guest
• Create a premium coffee experience as the foundation for guest interactions
• Provide general assistance to team members, managers, and owners
• Maintain organization and maturity to meet daily demands
• Work with minimal oversight as a results-oriented team player
• Uphold cleanliness and aesthetics of the coffee bar
• Demonstrate thoughtful problem-solving and innovation for business improvement
• Ensure efficiency in customer service and coffee bar workflow
• Adapt to evolving work demands with flexibility
• Maintain professionalism, arriving ready and mentally alert for each shift
• Coordinate effectively with other staff, tenants, and teams (e.g., Anthem, Summer Ellis team, lofts)
• Assist with events such as First Friday and the Farmer’s Market as needed
• Contribute to marketing efforts based on business needs and personal skills
• Demonstrate a learner’s mindset, improving skills (e.g., latte art) to enhance customer service
• Enjoy your work while making people’s day

Requirements

• 1 year of guest services experience (preferred)

Pay

$9.00 – $11.00 per hour, depending on prior experience. After a 90-day probationary/training period, employees are eligible for merit-based bonuses and promotions.

Schedule

• Full-time or part-time
• Morning or evening shifts
• Monday to Friday, with weekend availability
