About the role

The Hawaii State Department of Education seeks to hire a Special Education Elementary Teacher Grades K-5. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Special Education license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board and have special education classroom experience in a K-12 school setting.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Valid Special Education license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board.
• Desired Experience: Special education classroom experience in a K-12 school setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (with the exception of designated Career and Technology Education (CTE) positions).
• Must enroll in a Program to continue employment with the Department.
• Must satisfactorily demonstrate active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements within 3 years of employment.
• Must have a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire.
