About the role

Join Floyd's 99 Barbershop in Columbia, MD as a full-time Barber – Stylist. You'll earn uncapped commission starting at 40% and climbing to 55%, or a guaranteed minimum wage—whichever is higher. Performance is rewarded weekly, with average earnings ranging from $31 to $56.50/hour.

Our shop blends top-notch haircuts with a laid-back, high-energy vibe. Located near Merriweather Post Pavilion, The Mall in Columbia, and Lake Kittamaqundi, you’ll be in the heart of the action with great food, live music, and a fun atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert haircuts, fades, color transformations, and classic shaves.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including lather neck shaves and shoulder massages.
• Create a welcoming experience that keeps clients returning and sharing their looks.
• Continuously refine and expand your skills to stay at the top of your craft.

Requirements

• Active Maryland barber or cosmetology license.
• Passion for customer service and bringing joy to others.
• Strong work ethic and motivation to deliver excellent results.
• Reliability, punctuality, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends to accommodate client availability.
