About the role

We are now hiring a Barber & Beauty Professional to join our compassionate team. Our mission is to provide compassionate, quality care that focuses on the unique needs of our residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide haircuts, styling, and grooming services to residents, including special attention to their comfort and needs
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, following all infection control procedures
• Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure exceptional service
• Communicate and collaborate with the nursing team to provide specialized care for residents
• Adept grooming services to meet the unique needs of each resident, especially those with limited mobility or other health concerns
• Ensure all equipment and workstations are sanitized in accordance with infection prevention protocols

Requirements

• Valid Barber/Beauty License (required)
• Previous experience providing haircuts and beauty services
• Compassionate, patient, and caring approach to working with elderly residents
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment

Pay

Salary Range: $17.00 per hour

Schedule

Hours and schedule will be determined based on your availability and the needs of the team.

Qualifications

• Nice to have: Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting
• Nice to have: Specialized skills in other beauty services (e.g., nail care, skin care)
• Nice to have: Knowledge of infection control practices and ability to follow sanitation procedures
