About the Role
A Barback / Dining Room Attendant is responsible for helping servers, bartenders, and hosts serve guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to provide an excellent guest experience. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This role must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.
Responsibilities

- Provide personalized service to every individual you encounter
- Complete all required training to learn as much as you can
- Greet guests as they enter and manage waiting lists as necessary
- Provide guests with menus and answer any initial questions
- Seat guests at tables or in waiting areas, assigning tables while keeping rotation in mind for balanced server workloads
- Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service
- Respond to complaints and help resolve them
- Answer phone calls, take reservations, and answer questions
- Maintain strong knowledge of the menu, including the ability to make suggestions
- Manage the presentation of tableware for guest accessibility
- Monitor cleanliness and proper sanitization of tables, stations, and service areas
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership by fostering a positive work environment and counseling associates as needed
- Obtain feedback and effectively resolve customer problems and complaints
- Provide assistance to your team, guests, and other departments as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of business functions, including financial status, guest information, and employee issues
- Perform any other duties requested by leadership to improve property operations and guest service
Requirements
- Keep confidential the business functions of the company, including financial status, guest information, and associate issues
- Responsible for the safety and security of guests, fellow associates, and hotel assets
- Knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
- Dependable transportation available
- Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Organized, honest, and works well with others
- Outgoing personality with the highest degree of integrity and humility, living by the Golden Rule
- Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds

- Able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch; lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds
- Can stand/walk for 8 hours and work in restrictive spaces/environments
- Eyesight enabling both near and far vision
- Comfortable using a step stool or ladder
- Able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
- Able to handle heat and stress
- Finger dexterity for operating equipment
- Speak in a clear, understandable voice; hear at a basic level; and understand English
- Able to write
Pay
$14.42 per hour + tips
