Barback

Position Summary

Puttshack is seeking a diverse team of fun hospitality associates to create an elevated, one-of-a-kind guest experience. The Barback position is crucial to our bartenders as they ensure everything is ready to serve guests efficiently.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain a pace sufficient to keep up with different levels of guest visits
• Clean and stock glassware and other items such as napkins, straws, etc. around the bar area
• Aid Bartenders with refilling bottles, prepping garnishes, etc.
• Clean spills and/or broken glasses and keep areas tidy, complying with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
• Take direction and be a team player
• Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Associate Handbook
• Perform and follow job requirements
• Complete other projects or duties as assigned, including but not limited to side work, opening, and closing duties

Required Skills And Experience

• Must be 18+ years of age to apply
• Prior experience in hospitality or related field
• General knowledge of liquor, beer, wine and various spirits
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Must obtain any certifications required per local or state guidelines
• Safely and effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the venue, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
• Move and lift up to 10 pounds frequently, and occasionally move and lift up to 30 pounds
• Work in confined, crowded space with high noise levels and various temperature levels
