Bar Manager - Bar Sprezzatura

About the Role

As the Bar Manager at Bar Sprezzatura, you will be a hands-on leader responsible for all aspects of bar operations, beverage service, and team development. Working closely with the General Manager and restaurant leadership, you’ll lead the bar team, drive beverage sales, maintain exceptional service standards, and create an energetic and welcoming guest experience. You will play a key role in developing the beverage program, managing inventory and costs, training and mentoring the team, and ensuring that every cocktail, aperitivo, and beverage experience reflects the spirit of Bar Sprezzatura and the standards of Mina Group.

You will oversee daily bar operations, develop and coach the beverage team, drive sales through thoughtful service and strategic selling, and work closely with the General Manager, culinary leadership, and hotel partners to ensure the continued success of Bar Sprezzatura.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bar operations and beverage service
• Lead, train, and mentor the bar team
• Drive beverage sales through strategic selling and exceptional service
• Develop and implement beverage programs and seasonal menus
• Manage beverage inventory, cost controls, purchasing, and menu pricing
• Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service and applicable regulations
• Collaborate with culinary, restaurant, hotel, and corporate partners
• Maintain financial reporting, labor management, and cost controls
• Uphold safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols

Professional Attributes

• Advanced knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage service

• Experience developing and implementing beverage programs and seasonal menus
• Proven ability to drive beverage sales through training and strategic selling
• Experience with financial reporting, labor management, and cost controls
• Strong knowledge of responsible alcohol service and applicable regulations
• Desire to teach, mentor, and develop bartenders and future hospitality leaders
• Ability to collaborate effectively with culinary, restaurant, hotel, and corporate partners

Requested Capabilities

• 3+ years of experience in a high-volume cocktail bar, upscale restaurant, hotel bar, or fine dining environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Extensive knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
• Experience managing beverage inventory and controlling beverage costs
• Experience training and developing bartenders and bar staff
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service protocols
• Working knowledge of HR practices and labor laws
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with restaurant POS and inventory systems
• Ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds
