Bar Backs

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome each guest and be aware of tone and body language at all times
• Support service at the bar before, during, and after the shift
• Anticipate guests' needs and acknowledge guests so they know you will be right with them
• Complete all side work as assigned
• Communicate with other staff and management regarding the needs of the guest
• Other duties as assigned

Core Qualifications

• Food handler's certification
• Excellent Customer Service and People Skills
• Good working knowledge of beverages and a willingness to learn
• Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively
• Read menus, safety documents, etc.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
• Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping required to serve guests and perform side work
• Must be able to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds regularly, such as trays with food and beverages
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently between dining and kitchen areas
• Manual dexterity required for handling small items (e.g., glassware, silverware) and operating point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Work is performed in a fast-paced, indoor and outdoor environment that may include exposure to varying levels of noise and temperature changes
