Banquet Server- River Roast
Job Summary
We’re seeking enthusiastic, service-minded Banquet Servers to join the River Roast events team. You’ll help deliver exceptional guest experiences for weddings, conferences, galas, corporate meetings, trade shows, and large-scale events throughout our venue. Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Provide professional, friendly, efficient service during events.
- Serve plated meals, beverages, and desserts according to event flow.
- Monitor tables and respond promptly to guest requests, dietary needs, and accommodations.
- Replenish buffet, beverage, coffee, and snack stations to keep items stocked and presentable.
- Support timely food delivery from kitchen to event floor.
- Clear plates, glassware, and service items discreetly to maintain a clean environment.
- Communicate with culinary and event teams regarding timing, dietary needs, and service adjustments.
- Maintain neat, visually appealing tables, stations, and décor.
Qualifications
- Banquet, catering, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry 25+ lbs for extended periods.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based scheduling.
- Bartending experience a plus.
- ServSafe and BASSET required.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk 6–10 hours per shift, often on hard surfaces.
- Move quickly and safely through crowded event spaces.
- Lift and transport trays, equipment, and supplies up to 25+ lbs.
- Move items such as chafing dishes, plates, beverage tubs, and décor.
- Bend, stoop, reach, and kneel frequently while setting rooms or clearing tables.
- Balance large trays at or above shoulder level.
- Push/pull carts, linen bins, or portable bars.
Event Setup & Décor
- Set up tables, chairs, linens, place settings, buffet and beverage stations per event specifications.
- Aid in décor placement including centerpieces, signage, and themed displays.
- Aid in room flips and transitions between sessions.
- Break down event spaces and return equipment to designated areas.
Qualifications
