About the role

Lambertville Station Restaurant and Inn, a member of Genesis Hospitality, is an upscale venue seeking a Banquet Server.

Responsibilities

• Review Event Orders (EO’s) at the beginning of each shift to ensure rooms are set as contracted.
• Prepare rooms for use; adjusting lights, sound volumes, and temperature as needed before guests arrive.
• Communicate with the Event Manager regarding any special needs or concerns.
• Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of all equipment.
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas of the venue.
• Set up and break down rooms; ensure rooms are re-set for the next event contract if it is within one day of the previous event. If not, set 2 sample tables for client tours.
• Maintain proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses.
• Undertake any reasonable task and secondary duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Experience is a plus, but not required.
• High degree of service orientation, positive attitude, and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, reliable, and punctual with strong people skills.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, guests, and management.
• Must report for shift punctually and in proper dress code.
• Willingness to attend training and meetings as required.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stand and walk.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and focus.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
