Banquet Server

About the role

The Banquet Server delivers top‑notch service at celebrations, trade shows, and other events, creating unforgettable experiences while enjoying flexible schedules and competitive pay. The position is part of The Bartolotta Restaurants family, a nationally recognized restaurant and catering organization with 18 unique venues in the Greater Milwaukee region.

Responsibilities

• Daily set‑up and breakdown of food and beverage products for catered events.
• Prepare food for daily activities and scheduled events.
• Serve food and beverage items to event participants, vendors, and host clients.
• Assist with event coordination, including table set‑ups, place settings, serving areas, and removal of discarded products.
• Assist with event clean‑up on‑site or off‑site, handling plates, dishes, silverware, glassware, linens, chairs, and garbage.
• Transport catering products back to the catering kitchen.
• Print food and product labels and signage for buffets.
• Maintain awareness of upcoming catering events and orders.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uniform.
• Communicate effectively with guests, managers, the Catering Director, and chefs to handle last‑minute requests and provide assistance as needed.
• Be available to work weekends, late evenings, and holidays as required.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Well‑organized with the ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
• Ability to operate point‑of‑sale systems.
• Must be at least 16 years old (21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages).
• Previous experience as a server preferred.
• Successful completion of a restaurant training course.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
