Banquet Server

About the role

Banquet Servers are responsible for setting up banquet rooms and serving food and/or beverages according to established guest service and sustainability standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms as instructed by supervisors.
• Attend roll call meetings to learn event specifics, including guest and hotel expectations.
• Serve food and/or beverages in the order and to the satisfaction of the supervisor to maintain consistency.
• Replenish beverages as needed and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Promptly remove dishes after each course or meal.
• Respond to guest special requests and resolve complaints.
• Abide by all relevant state, federal, and corporate requirements regarding serving alcoholic beverages.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food service experience is preferred.
• Ability to remember and recite menu items.

Skills

• Attention to detail.
• Customer service skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations.
