About the role
Banquet Servers are responsible for setting up banquet rooms and serving food and/or beverages according to established guest service and sustainability standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms as instructed by supervisors.
- Attend roll call meetings to learn event specifics, including guest and hotel expectations.
- Serve food and/or beverages in the order and to the satisfaction of the supervisor to maintain consistency.
- Replenish beverages as needed and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
- Promptly remove dishes after each course or meal.
- Respond to guest special requests and resolve complaints.
- Abide by all relevant state, federal, and corporate requirements regarding serving alcoholic beverages.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to remember and recite menu items.
Skills
- Attention to detail.
- Customer service skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations.
