Banquet Manager

Responsibilities

• Interview candidates for open positions and onboard individuals upon hiring
• Constantly train and develop all positions within the department
• Coach, counsel, and document staff when required with collaboration of banquet leadership and human resources
• Weekly scheduling for servers, beverage staff, housemen, and coffee break attendants
• Ensure changes are acknowledged and accommodated then reflected in staffing, set-up, and service needs
• Continuously work to elevate our product and service standards to maintain our #1 City Club status
• The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for members, clients, and group contacts
• Communicate directly with group contacts, event managers, culinary leaders and banquet team to ensure that all details of the function are carried out, ensure quality and timeliness of all food and beverage items
• Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments

Requirements

• 2 years of banquets & events leadership experience
• Ability to communicate and work cross-functionally within the League as well as members, vendors, and clients
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows/PC. Ability to learn computer programs such as Outlook 365, Jonas, and ADP
• Bending and lifting required as well as the ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Must have open availability for all meal periods including nights, weekends and holidays/flexible work schedule
• Liberity Hill has several mandatory workdays for banquet staff. 2026 dates listed below
