Banquet Manager

About the role

The Banquet Manager ensures the customer's banquet needs are safely and efficiently met by following the customer's requests. By paying close attention to details, we strive to exceed their expectations. Providing excellent customer service with a smile is a must! We want our guests to feel good about their experience so that they will tell others and become a loyal customer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all banquet events are executed according to customer specifications and company standards.
• Manage inventory and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels and proper usage.
• Oversee purchasing processes to order necessary supplies and equipment.
• Train and supervise banquet servers to ensure consistent quality of service.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Prepare and present menus in a timely and efficient manner.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage food preparation and delivery schedules.
• Monitor event progress and make adjustments as needed to meet deadlines and customer expectations.

Requirements

• Experience as a Banquet Server required.
• Additional experience as a Banquet Captain or supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and ability to perform all aspects of restaurant service.
• High aptitude in working with numbers and able to efficiently use a calculator.
• Inventory & Supplies - knowledge of inventory tracking and control procedures.
• Purchasing - knowledge of projecting for and ordering supplies.
