Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in the banquet space for various-sized events at Big Cedar Lodge. Schedule varies based on banquet needs.
Responsibilities
- Plan, monitor, and assist with food production to ensure quality and consistency during preparation and service.
- Provide exceptional guest service through careful execution and immaculate presentation of food and beverage.
- Monitor guest consumption levels and respond accordingly.
- Assist in daily kitchen operations to ensure culinary readiness for service.
- Collaborate with the Banquet Chef to develop menus as needed.
- Ensure all food production follows established recipes.
- Optimize cooking processes with attention to speed and quality.
- Maintain adequate supplies at all cooking stations.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in good working order.
- Promote good working relationships with Front of House managers and staff.
- Attend pre-shift meetings to communicate menu changes and operational challenges.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of culinary experience.
- Strong cooking background with experience in large-volume food production.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Travel requirements: 5% or less.
