Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Associate
About the role
Brown Rudnick seeks a talented 3rd - 5th year mid-level associate to join the Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring practice group in New York. The ideal candidate will have significant restructuring experience including Chapter 11 cases, representing debtors and creditors, and official committees of unsecured creditors in all aspects of corporate restructurings and bankruptcy proceedings.
Responsibilities
- Draft and argue motions in bankruptcy court
- Participate in court hearings
- Manage contested matters
- Handle sophisticated matters
- Manage multiple significant engagements simultaneously
- Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Strong analytical, writing, advocacy, and client-management skills are essential
Requirements
- Significant restructuring experience
- Experience with bankruptcy court practice
- Substantial experience with drafting and arguing motions
- Experience with participating in court hearings
- Experience with managing contested matters
- Strong analytical, writing, advocacy, and client-management skills
Qualifications
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comparable law firm experience required; clerkship experience preferred
- J.D. required and must be admitted to the New York Bar
Benefits
Salary range based on experience level is in the range of $250,000 - $325,000. Associates are eligible for a substantial annual bonus that scales with experience and performance. We also offer additional high-performance bonus tiers for attorneys who deliver exceptional results and production.
