Responsibilities

  • Represent institutional lenders, mortgage servicers, and other secured creditors in Chapters 7, 13, and 11 bankruptcy matters.
  • Manage bankruptcy files from initial referral through final resolution.
  • Prepare and file proofs of claim, motions for relief from stay, plan reviews and objections, and other bankruptcy pleadings.
  • Handle loan modification and loss mitigation matters while ensuring compliance with applicable bankruptcy requirements.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances throughout Pennsylvania.
  • Research legal issues, analyze case law, and develop strategic recommendations for clients.
  • Provide practical legal guidance regarding bankruptcy procedures, servicing requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, trustees, and the courts.
  • Maintain an organized, high-volume caseload while meeting court deadlines and client expectations.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Pennsylvania Bar license and member in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of bankruptcy attorney experience, including at least 1 year representing creditors in Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Courts.
  • Strong understanding of Chapters 7, 13, and 11 bankruptcy practice.
  • Experience drafting motions, pleadings, objections, and other bankruptcy-related filings.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Able to independently manage a busy caseload and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Comfortable appearing in bankruptcy courts and attending hearings throughout the state.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
