Job Responsibilities
- Primarily manages bankruptcy routine matters
- Drafts and reviews all pleadings and claims filed in the particular matter
- Attends scheduled hearings
- Responds to general firm wide bankruptcy inquiries
- Reviews filings on behalf of the clients
- Maintains monitoring of all electronic filings (ECFs)
- Solves routine bankruptcy matters such as Motions for Relief, Objections to Confirmation, Proofs of claim, etc.
- Engages in regular communication with the client, opposing counsel and the Court
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of bankruptcy rules/laws and general Creditor Rights laws
- Computer Literacy
- Professionalism
- Keyboard Skills
- Attention to detail
- Time Management
- Communication Skills
Required Education and Training
- Law degree – JD
- Barred in Maryland
- Admitted to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in MD
