Bankruptcy Associate

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
• Assist with assignments for the benefit of creditors and fiduciary matters
• Participate in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations
• Maintain professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

Qualifications

• Admitted to the New Jersey Bar (New York Bar a plus)
• Over 3 years of experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors’ rights, or complex commercial litigation
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience with court appearances and contested matters
• Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and work independently or in a team
