Bankruptcy Associate

About the role

This highly regarded law firm is seeking a Bankruptcy Associate to join their team. The role involves representing debtors in chapter 11 and 7 cases, providing general counsel regarding pre-chapter 11 planning and out-of-court alternative measures, meeting with and advising clients of their bankruptcy options, drafting legal documents, negotiating settlements on behalf of clients, and collaborating with senior attorneys on complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Represent debtors in chapter 11 and 7 cases
• Provide general counsel regarding pre-chapter 11 planning and out-of-court alternative measures
• Meet with and advise clients of their bankruptcy options
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases
• Participate in client meetings

Requirements

• 3-7+ years of bankruptcy law experience
• Oregon State Bar membership
• JD degree

• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Pay

$115K-$130K DOE + generous bonus potential
