Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven and forward-thinking Banking Specialist III to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will perform troubleshooting and service on commercial electronic security, video, life safety, and intrusion systems.

Responsibilities

  • Act as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times, ensuring Convergint is the customer’s first choice for service.
  • Take ownership of onsite projects including safety, quality, and performance.
  • Install, program, test, troubleshoot, repair, and service a variety of systems and equipment, including security, intrusion, and life safety systems, with guidance as needed.
  • Provide technical support and training for customers, maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Refer complex issues to higher-level colleagues.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and wiring diagrams to determine installation procedures and repair equipment using standard test instruments and hand tools.
  • Operate systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance, and identify malfunctions.
  • Write routine programs for systems and use troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems.
  • Provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits, consultation, and database management.
  • Install, configure, and support network systems and equipment for assigned projects.
  • Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation, maintenance, and warranty work.
  • Perform all work in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as company health and safety policies.
  • Advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, installation techniques, and product improvements.
  • Participate in developing customer presentations or new business development activities.
  • Execute technical aspects of multiple projects with varying timelines and budgets, including programming, graphics development, start-up, certification testing, customer training, and close-out documentation.
  • Work closely with the Service Supervisor, Field Project Manager, and/or Service Coordinator to assist with project coordination, recommend quality improvements, and identify ways to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Identify potential project risks, communicate them to appropriate parties, and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Requirements

  • Massachusetts D License and/or S License.
  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
  • Solid technical skills and experience in electronic security and intrusion systems.
  • Strong programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems.
  • Self-starter who works well with minimal supervision.
  • Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g., works with hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (e.g., calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage).
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis; minimal overnight travel may be required.

Salary information is based on the assigned target market range within the primary geographic region. Individual pay rates vary depending on skills, experience, certifications, specific licenses, and education.
