Banking Advisor

Responsibilities

• Develops new relationships and manages existing ones, identifying prospects and developing marketing strategies.
• Serves complex wealth management and banking needs, including credit and treasury management, and identifies opportunities outside banking in areas like investment and fiduciary services.
• Applies knowledge of credit policies, banking products, and risk management to serve clients.
• “Cold calls” on prospects, sourcing new relationships independently.
• Structures and negotiates complex loan and lease agreements, analyzing and setting terms such as special pricing conditions, interest rates, and swaps.
• Negotiates and oversees the preparation of financing documentation.
• Advises and consults clients on goals-driven wealth management.
• Generates leads through established relationships with COIs and expands a network of additional COIs.
• Executes large-scale, cross-functional projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
• Solves complex problems and develops strategic initiatives within functional areas.
• Communicates effectively and collaboratively with various committees and management levels.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of the banking industry, competition, and financing, typically gained through formal education and experience.
• Knowledge of investments, trusts, and financial consulting concepts to identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Skills in negotiation, leadership, and sales to build and maintain client and prospect relationships.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Highly flexible and adaptable to change.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in financial analysis and client servicing, or commercial lending or leasing experience.
• May lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
