Responsibilities

  • Support customer relationship development and transaction processing to meet sales and service goals.
  • Accurately and efficiently handle daily transactions, including account openings, processing, and customer inquiries.
  • Proactively cross-sell bank products and services to existing and new customers.
  • Complete the Home Equity application process and assist in the closing process.
  • Achieve individual and team sales and service goals through active participation in sales promotions.
  • Use a needs-based consultative approach to recommend products or services that enhance customer relationships.
  • Answer routine and complex customer questions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure resolution.
  • Maintain a strong foundation of product knowledge through training and ongoing learning.
  • Utilize self-service channels such as ATM, Online Banking, and Mobile Banking.
  • Create and foster a positive work environment, collaborating with the Branch Manager.
  • Represent Rockland Trust by building meaningful roots in the communities we serve.
  • Adhere to operational, regulatory, and security policies while managing customer relationships and risk.

Requirements

  • Two-year degree or equivalent job experience.
  • Minimum 1 year sales experience in a financial or retail environment.
  • Successfully pass the Level I Business Certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong sales orientation and ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Professionalism and ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work within normal office requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work schedule, including weekends.
  • Ability to complete required onboarding, job-specific, compliance, regulatory, operational, and continuing education training programs within established timeframes.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Two to four years of teller experience.

In addition to base salary, certain positions may be eligible for additional compensation, including commissions, incentive awards, or stipends.
