Responsibilities
- Support customer relationship development and transaction processing to meet sales and service goals.
- Accurately and efficiently handle account openings, processing, and transactions, including checks, deposits, withdrawals, and cash handling.
- Proactively cross-sell bank products and services to existing and new customers using available tools and systems.
- Complete the Home Equity application process, communicate with customers, and facilitate the closing process.
- Achieve individual and team sales and service targets; actively participate in sales promotions.
- Use a needs-based consultative approach to recommend products or services that enhance customer relationships.
- Answer routine and complex customer inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and ensure resolution through follow-up.
- Maintain product knowledge by attending trainings and completing required courses.
- Utilize self-service channels like ATM, Online Banking, and Mobile Banking to engage customers.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and representing the bank in the community.
- Adhere to operational, regulatory, and security policies while managing customer relationships and minimizing risk.
Requirements
- Two-year degree or equivalent job experience.
- Minimum 1 year sales experience in a financial or retail environment.
- Must be or become a Notary Public and NMLS certified.
- Successfully pass the Level I Business Certification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with ability to operate various office equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong sales orientation with ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to changing situations.
- Ability to work intuitively and find creative solutions to problems.
- High degree of professionalism and ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy in interactions.
- Positive approach to customer and team member interactions.
- Ability to work within normal office requirements, including long periods of standing and continuous customer support.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work schedule, including weekends, as needed.
- Ability to successfully complete all required onboarding, job-specific, compliance, regulatory, operational, and continuing education training programs within established timeframes.
