Bank Teller - South San Diego

About the role

TEKsystems is currently searching for qualified candidates for a Bank Teller with a Fortune 100 Financial Institution in South San Diego.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans
• Aid members with submitting consumer/mortgage/equity loan, overdraft protection and credit card applications
• Counsel current and prospective members about company products and services
• Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell products and increase product penetration
• Perform platform banking functions
• Assist level I team members
• Understand and comply with federal and other regulations relating to financial products and services
• May assist with Branch Office vault opening, closing and balancing procedures
• May serve as a Branch Office and/or ATM vault custodian
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant cash handling experience; banking is preferred but not required
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone and via email
• Good communication skills - de-escalation, remain calm under pressure, listening

Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, basic computer literacy, and ability to learn new systems quickly.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of banking products and services

Pay

The pay range for this position is $23.28 - $23.28/hr.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm; Saturday 8:30am - 2:30pm
