Bank Health Care Assistant (Hospice at Home)

About the role

Proudly serving our community for almost 40 years, we provide specialist palliative and end-of-life care as well as vital support for patient’s families. For our Hospice at Home service, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Health Care Assistant, who is passionate about providing excellent care, to people when they are most in need, facing the end of their lives in their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent personal care for patients who need it during the day, working with another HCA.
• Assist with answering the telephones when the demand becomes busy.
• Accompany a trained clinician for joint visits for patients who need support during the nights.
• Remain in the home with a patient during the night sitting service to allow family to get much needed rest.

Requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic Health Care Assistant who is passionate about providing excellent care. The role can be for either day, nights, or our night sitting service.

Qualifications

No formal qualifications are required, but previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial.

• Confidence in handling sensitive and confidential information
