Bank Financial Services Representative (Personal Banker)

About the role

As a Financial Services Representative at First Citizens Bank, you will support sales and service delivery in the branch. You will build and expand banking relationships through proactive customer outreach and customer service requests, opening deposit accounts and related banking services, and identifying and referring sales opportunities to the appropriate bank partner.

Responsibilities

• Sales
  • Achieve individual and/or team financial, production, and relationship results relative to assigned metrics and goals, aligning with community needs and supporting diverse lending.
  • Engage with customers, prospects, and referral sources through proactive outreach.
  • Represent the Bank in the community by attending and participating in civic and community events to generate business and identify potential CRA opportunities.
  • Use sales practices that create value for both the customer and the bank, ensuring relevant financial guidance drives informed decisions.
• Service Standards
  • Foster collaborative partnerships to deliver value for customers, prospects, and colleagues.
  • Initiate conversations to uncover sales or referral opportunities.
  • Listen attentively and ask insightful questions to understand customer needs and preferences, addressing immediate needs promptly.
  • Proactively optimize performance by seeking coaching, supporting Bank initiatives, and leveraging tools to enhance activities.
• Operations and Administration
  • Comply with all regulations, bank policies, procedures, and delegated authorities to manage risk related to credit, operational, reputational, regulatory, and legal aspects of interactions and transactions.
  • Complete required training by established deadlines.
  • Perform general office management duties to ensure operational efficiency.
  • For roles involving deposits, ensure transaction accuracy and operational efficiency, contributing to both individual and team performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of experience in sales, customer service, and lending or financial services sales, or
• High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in sales, customer service, and lending or financial services sales.

Pay

The base pay for this position is generally between $24.05 to $35.00 per hour. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
