Bangladesh Police is recruiting new constables (Trainee Recruit Constable - TRC). A large number of vacancies are available for both male and female candidates across the country.
Eligibility
- Educational qualification: SSC or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 2.5 in both exams.
- Age: 18 to 20 years as of 15 October 2024.
- Only unmarried male and female candidates can apply.
Physical Requirements
- Male candidates:
- Height: 5 feet 6 inches (5 feet 4 inches for tribal and freedom fighter quota).
- Chest: 31 inches normal, 33 inches expanded (30 inches normal, 31 inches expanded for tribal and freedom fighter quota).
- Female candidates:
- Height: 5 feet 4 inches (5 feet 2 inches for tribal and freedom fighter quota).
- Weight will be determined based on height and age.
Selection Process
- Physical Measurement Test: Verification of age, height, chest measurement, and weight at the district police lines.
- Physical Endurance Test: Includes running, jumping, rope climbing, push-ups, and dragging.
- Written Examination: 45 marks covering Bengali, English, General Mathematics, and General Science.
- Psychological and Viva Voce: 15 marks assessing mental aptitude, values, and personal background.
Candidates must bring required documents and admit cards at each stage. Successful candidates in the physical tests will receive admit cards for the written exam, with details on exam centers provided by the district police superintendent.
Pay and Benefits
- During six months of training: Provision of uniform, accommodation, meals, medical facilities, and a monthly training allowance.
- After training: Salary scale of 9,000–21,800 BDT (2015 national pay scale, 17th grade).
