About the Role

Clayton is a leading single-family, values-driven home builder dedicated to attainable housing, sustainable practices, and creating a world-class experience for customers and team members. We are actively recruiting passionate, positive, and eager-to-learn individuals for our Roof Truss Support position, which plays a vital role in our vertically integrated home-building process.

Responsibilities

• Correctly place band boards and bands to ensure trusses are tightly banded.
• Safely operate the bander machine.
• Cut band boards to size.
• Band trusses together in a timely manner.
• Collect cull material from truss racks and accurately track it on the cull sheet.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of basic math skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Passion for quality and attention to detail.
• Reliability and ability to work at an efficient pace.
• Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
• Displays a great attitude and models teamwork.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift and/or carry over 20 lbs.
• Must be able to effectively verbally communicate and exchange information with others.
• Work is primarily completed by standing or walking and may require bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching in hot and cold conditions.
