Band Teacher, Substitute
About the role
We are seeking provisional band teachers to join our Music Education Services department. This role involves providing music instruction at schools where our regular Music Educators are unavailable.
Responsibilities
- Stand in as the teacher for music classes at schools where our Music Educators are unavailable.
- Aid with student recruitment or after school events as needed.
- Prepare or follow given lesson plans for days you are teaching and provide progress reports of the students when required, including student attendance.
- Maintain quality relationships with school administration and principals.
- Coordinate with Music Educators to participate in their concerts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Music Education is required.
- Some Teaching Experience is preferred.
- Applicable for State Teaching License.
- Valid state driver's license and automotive insurance.
Qualifications
Essential functions include standing in as the teacher for music classes, assisting with student recruitment or after school events, preparing or following lesson plans, maintaining relationships with school administration, and coordinating with Music Educators for concerts. Additional duties as assigned.

Pay
The pay rate is $25 - $30/hr, depending on background and experience. The pay range(s) listed are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may vary in other locations.
Schedule
This role is a maximum of 20-24 hours per week.
