Band or Orchestra Lesson Instructor - Contract Position

About the Role

St. Croix Prep Band and Orchestra programs offer small group lessons to middle school students each week. Teach one or more instruments in focused 15-minute sessions with groups of 3–4 students, while supporting large group classes.

Instruments

• Band: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, Percussion
• Orchestra: Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, focused 15-minute small-group lessons
• Support large group instruction as needed
• Maintain strong organizational and time management to keep lessons fun and productive

Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience with middle school students preferred

Schedule

Approximately 90 minutes per day on at least two days each week.

Pay

$55 per hour (contract rate).
