Band Assistant - Percussions (Fall)

Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate or equivalent alternatives as approved by the Board.

About the role

To assist the Band Director in preparing, instructing, and guiding students in percussion, supporting both the instructional program and extracurricular activities to ensure successful Marching Band performances.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rehearsals, parades, and competitions.
• Provide small group or sectional instruction to strengthen student performance in the area of percussion.
• Support the Director in organizing music, instruments, and equipment.
• Help supervise students at rehearsals, performances, and trips.

Pay

$3,000 annual stipend (LBSEA Contract 2026-2029, Salary Guides for Yearly Stipends, pp. 81-83).
