Ballet Teacher

About the role

West Valley Dance Company is seeking a passionate and experienced part-time Ballet Teacher to join our team at our Bascom Avenue studio in San Jose.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging and professional ballet instruction to students of varying ages and abilities
• Create a supportive, encouraging classroom environment where every dancer can grow
• Inspire creativity, confidence, and teamwork through movement and performance
• Maintain strong communication with families and studio leadership
• Contribute to a positive studio culture rooted in passion, excellence, and community

Requirements

• Have a strong dance background and a genuine passion for both dance and teaching
• Experience working with children and students ages 18 months-18 years (preferred)
• Bring energy, creativity, and encouragement into every class
• Commitment to helping dancers develop both technical skills and confidence for life
• Clear and professional communication with students, families, and team members
• Reliable, professional, and collaborative team player
• Reliable transportation and a desire to continue learning and growing

Pay

$25-50/hr. depending on individual experience, education and position requirements.

Schedule

Monday-Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM.
