Baler Associate - Warehouse

Essential Duties and Tasks

• Operate warehouse and office equipment as needed
• Read and follow instructions
• Keep warehouse and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging and cleanliness requirements
• Operate forklift to pick up and transport gaylords of various material streams to storage areas
• Use electric pallet jack to move boxes of trim into baler position
• Maintain daily and weekly baler records and reports
• Maintain baler and storage areas in a neat and orderly condition
• Detect and report equipment malfunctions, unusual situations or other problems to Lead
• Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating of baler
• Assist with training new associates into the department
• Back-up Material Handling as needed
• May cover for warehouse associate when needed and perform all necessary tasks such as: Verification and tracking of all material received, shipped, and moved. Work closely with various departments, load/unloading materials. Keeping accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments
• May provide periodic inventory and cycle counts
• Other duties, as necessary

Qualifications, Education and Experience

• Prior shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred
• Clear communication and comprehension of instructions
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure
• Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines
• Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options
