Baking Education Videographer & Editor

About the role

The Baking Education Videographer & Editor is responsible for leading the filming and production of upwards of 15 multiday shoots per year, editing upwards of 10 On-Demand classes per year, and collaborating with various teams to support the evolution of Baking School On-Demand.

Responsibilities

• Lead the filming and production of multiday shoots, including lighting, sound, and file management.
• Edit On-Demand classes, creating a variety of assets ranging from 30-minute lessons to 30-second vertical cuts.
• Closely work with producers and hosts on pre-production, developing studio timelines and shot lists.
• Collaborate with Video, Editorial, and Baking Education leadership to support the ongoing evolution of Baking School On-Demand.
• Set up studio equipment for efficient productions and assist with occasional on-location shoots.
• Occasionally assist during other KAB video shoots, such as setting up and operating cameras, sound equipment, or lights.

Requirements

• At least 5 years' experience filming educational or service-driven video, particularly medium- to long-form video.
• Experience with food videos a plus.
• 5 years' experience editing video in Premiere or equivalent editing software.
• Knowledge and enthusiasm for the art of baking is a plus.
• A high school diploma, college degree a plus.

• Physical requirements: Regular standing, walking, moving throughout studio, kitchen, and on-location environments; lifting up to 40 pounds; reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, adjusting production equipment; using hands and fingers to operate cameras, audio equipment, computers, and editing tools; visual and auditory ability to assess video and audio quality, lighting, and production conditions; frequent use of a computer for extended periods; ability to work in a kitchen/studio environment where allergens may be present.
• Safety: Understands safety is the responsibility of everyone at the organization; responsible for providing a safe and ergonomically sound work environment, identifying unsafe conditions and correcting these conditions immediately; engages in safety and compliance training programs and encourages 100% team participation in same.

• Time Management: Proficient in prioritizing multiple video projects at once; plans for an upcoming shoot for one class, while editing footage of a different class.
• Project Management: Ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects, ensuring that work in and out of the studio is completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Pay

$67,800 to $91,500 annual salary; commensurate with experience.
